When people hear the term “Quality Assurance,” they often imagine someone checking products at the end of a production line.

In the medical device industry, however, Quality Assurance means much more than final inspection.

QA is the function that helps ensure a company’s quality management system is properly designed, documented, maintained, and operated in accordance with applicable regulations and international standards.

In simple terms, QA provides confidence that the company is consistently doing what it is supposed to do—and that there is documented evidence to prove it.
